The Founder's Narrative
A journey of recognition, transformation, and economic empowerment
From Recognition to Action
The turning point came during visits to rural communities across Sierra Leone. I witnessed extraordinary women—master farmers, skilled processors, innovative entrepreneurs—creating products of remarkable quality. Yet they were trapped by geography, logistics, and lack of market access.
These women had dignity. They had expertise. They had authentic, premium products. What they lacked was a bridge to the world.
Building the Bridge
Isabella Impact Ventures was built to create that bridge. We started by:
- 1.Identifying and partnering with women-led producer cooperatives
- 2.Investing in processing infrastructure and quality standards
- 3.Building export-ready supply chains for global markets
- 4.Ensuring women remain owners, leaders, and primary beneficiaries
The Impact Today
What began as a vision has grown into tangible results: hundreds of women earning dignified incomes, sustainable livelihoods, and genuine pathways to economic leadership. Our sub-brands—Isabella Foods and BellaNaturals Exports—are now recognized globally for their authenticity, quality, and ethical practices.
But the real victory is simpler: women in Sierra Leone now own their economic futures. They control their narratives. They participate in global markets on their own terms.
"The measure of our success isn't just revenue or exports. It's the number of women who wake up knowing they own something valuable, that their work matters globally, and that their daughters see economic leadership as their birthright."
